Large marijuana bust in Bronx apartment building

Police were on the scene of a large pot bust inside a Bronx apartment, involving live plants.

The building is on 169th street at the Fulton Terrace Houses in the south Bronx. The apartment turned into an indoor greenhouse but because of the crop being grown inside.

Eyewitness News has learned that marijuana was being farmed and has obtained exclusive photos showing more than a dozen large marijuana plants.

The street value us $5,000.

On Monday afternoon, officials began bagging the evidence and hauling it away.

Neighbors believe the new tenants moved into the apartment several months ago.

Police are now looking for the owners of the plants.
