Investigators say 27-year-old James Peeples attacked a 24-year-old woman at Astoria Boulevard and 18th Street.
Peeples is described as a black male, approximately 6-foot-6 and 230 pounds, with brown eyes and brown hair with blond-highlighted dreadlocks.
Anyone who recognizes him or knows where he is asked to call Crime Stoppers at 1-800-577-TIPS (8477).
