School buses are rolling in southern Connecticut Monday despite the threat of a possible strike.

That drivers strike has been averted, for now.

The school bus drivers in Westport and bus company Dattco agreed to a cooling off period in their negotiations.

That means school buses will operate on a normal schedule.

Both sides will head back to the bargaining table later this week.
