Crane tips over in vacant West Side lot; no injuries

A crane collapsed tipped over in a vacant lot on the West Side of Manhattan Monday morning.

No one was injured in the incident, which happened on West 38th Street just before 9 a.m.

The crane tipped over in a lot next to a firehouse, crushing a flatbed truck parked on the street.

The cause of the mishap is under investigation.

Crews were working to remove the crane, which was sticking out into the street.

West 38th Street was closed between Ninth and Tenth avenues during the removal process.
