Spring forward

March 8, 2013

No is the answer.

So when you spring forward with your clocks at 2 a.m. Sunday, why not do something potentially life-saving for you and your family?

Remember to change your batteries in your smoke and carbon monoxide detectors.

Unless of course you have one of those new 10-year batteries – then you're ok.

But if you don't, it's the most important thing you can do this weekend.

Please.

Meanwhile, we'll be looking at the big snowfall in the 'burbs. Carolina Leid is out in it for us. And Meteorologist Lee Goldberg will offer his weekend AccuWeather forecast, and explain just how huge this 48-hour system was.

Also at 11, our Joe Torres is in Rome as the world's Catholic Cardinals finally set the date for their secret conclave to elect a new Pope. And why has the Vatican put the kibosh on the Cardinals talking to the media?

And we're looking into the failing security grade at Newark Airport, after officials managed to sneak a fake bomb - as part of a test - past security. Charming.

We'll also have any breaking news of the night, plus Rob Powers with the night's sports. I hope you can join Sade Baderinwa and me, tonight at 11, right after 20/20.
