2nd arrest in murder of 12-year old Jersey City boy

JERSEY CITY, N.J.

33-year old Shawn Harris of Irvington, New Jersey was arrested in connection with the death of Gywan Levine, Jr. May 17th.

Harris is charged with felony murder and armed robbery, among other charges.

Prosecutors say he is the boyfriend of 25-year old Janice Everett of Rahway, who was previously arrested in the case.

Everett is charged with murder as an accomplice, armed robbery and fraudulent use of a credit card.

Gywan was shot and killed while playing basketball with his father.

Gywan Levine, Sr. was shot in the leg.

Prosecutors believe the motive was robbery, and that Harris and Everett were involved in at least one other robbery the same day in Jersey City.

Authorities are still seeking one more suspect.
