Rain Room exhibit at Museum of Modern Art

NEW YORK

People are waiting in line for five, six hours to get a chance to stroll through the Rain Room and once they do, they say it was well worth it.

It's dreamy, intense, and like nothing you've ever experienced; that's how people are describing what it's like to stroll through the Rain Room.

It's a mind blowing exhibit at The Museum of Modern Art.

You are surrounded by pouring water, yet you stay dry.

It is by far, one of MoMA's most unusual and talked about exhibits.

You're encouraged to soak up this large scale installation, which using digital technology creates a field of falling water that pauses every time a human body is detected.

Sensors do the trick.

Created by Random International, this is the team's largest and most ambitious project and really pushes people to explore the roles science, technology and human ingenuity can play in stabilizing our environment.

Part of the fun is taking pictures.

When you're in there you have to walk slowly, if you don't you'll get soaking wet.

You truly get a sense of what it's like to essentially, control the rain,

This is the only place in the country where you'll be able to enjoy the Rain Room, a definite must do.

The museum only lets about 10 people into the Rain Room at a time, if it gets to crowded, the water slows down, they also want you to have plenty of room to play.

The exhibit will be open through July 28th.
