WABC-TV is most watched in New York and the nation

The flagship station captured a 3.6 rating/9 share in DMA Households, Monday-Sunday Sign-On to Sign-Off, in the country's most populous market. With each rating point representing 74,610 Tri-State area TV households, ABC7 attracts a larger audience than any other television station in the nation. Every local news program dominated the competition in all key areas.

WABC-TV began November with a homecoming! The ING New York City Marathon, New York's biggest sporting event, returned to Channel 7 after a 20-year absence. In a partnership with ESPN, WABC-TV made the 43rd running of the world's biggest footrace available to more viewers than ever before. On November 3rd, the marathon had its highest ratings of recent years as Channel 7's coverage reached 1.7 million people over the air and averaged 582,000 viewers per quarter-hour. The marathon had 145,000 live streams on 7online and marathon content was accessed in 197 different countries and territories, making it a truly global success. Channel 7's marathon pre-race coverage averaged an outstanding 342,000 viewers, and its "Countdown to the Starting Line" special the night before won its time period handily with 259,000 viewers. Channel 7 kicked off its marathon coverage by airing the Opening Ceremony on the Friday night before the marathon and again won its time period. WABC-TV's coverage also reached tens of thousands of people via social media, making its coverage of the marathon a success by every measure.

WABC-TV's daily ratings success launches with the early morning news. The station's "Eyewitness News This Morning" with Lori Stokes, Ken Rosato and Bill Evans, boasts the highest ratings from 430-5am among DMA Households and Adults 25-54. At 5am, WABC-TV leads in DMA Households with higher ratings than any two competitors combined. WABC-TV also boasts annual growth in the time period of +53% in Households and +50% among Adults 25-54. At 6am, "Eyewitness News This Morning" is more than double its closest competitor among DMA Households and also attracts twice as many Adults 25-54 as any other station. The 6am broadcast is up +37% over last year in DMA Households and is also up +54% among Adults 25-54.

"Good Morning America" is a ratings powerhouse in the country's largest market from 7-9am. It holds a decisive 61% advantage over its closest competitor in DMA Households, a 31% advantage among Adults 25-54, and a 45% advantage among Women 25-54. The show is up +36% year-to-year in DMA Households and is up significantly in key demos.

The growth continues at 9am, when "LIVE with Kelly and Michael" is up +17% year-to-year among DMA Households. The longtime morning show hit, now in its second season with Michael Strahan as Kelly Ripa's co-host, dominates its time period in DMA Households and key demos."LIVE with Kelly and Michael" is produced by WABC-TV and syndicated nationally.

"Eyewitness News at Noon" with Lori Stokes, Ken Rosato and Bill Evans holds a decisive 65% lead over its closest competition in DMA Households. It also continues to attract more viewers than the combined deliveries of its competitors in key demos.

WABC-TV's "Eyewitness News First at 4," with Liz Cho, David Novarro, and Lee Goldberg, is up year-to-year in DMA Households and matches up well in key demos with many of its evening news competitors that air at 5pm and 6pm.

"Eyewitness News at 5:00" with Diana Williams, Sade Baderinwa and Lee Goldberg, maintains its customary #1 spot with a 25% advantage over its closest competitor among DMA Households. It also leads among Adults 25-54 by a hefty 67% margin over its closest competitor.

The weekday edition of "Eyewitness News at 6:00" with Bill Ritter, Liz Cho, Lee Goldberg and Rob Powers, holds a decisive 35% advantage in DMA Households and also leads its competitors among Adults 25-54 by a strong 80% margin. This sweep marks the 117th consecutive ratings survey period that WABC-TV has finished an outright #1 in DMA Households among local M-F 6:00 p.m. newscasts.

"Eyewitness News at 11:00," featuring Bill Ritter, Sade Baderinwa, Lee Goldberg and Rob Powers, holds a 30% advantage over its closest competitor in DMA Households. With a stellar 3.0 rating among Adults 25-54, the program also attracts twice as many viewers in that key area as either of its competitors in the time period. "Eyewitness News at 11:00" also has year-to-year growth in both DMA Households and Adults 25-54.

"Eyewitness News" is equally strong on Saturdays and Sundays, where WABC-TV airs more local morning news than any of its competitors. "Eyewitness News This Morning" with Michelle Charlesworth, Phil Lipof, and Amy Freeze collectively ranks #1 among DMA Households and Adults 25-54. The newscasts also collectively boast +25% annual growth in DMA Households and +43% growth over their Adults 25-54 performance last year. In the evening, "Eyewitness News at 11:00," featuring Joe Torres, Sandra Bookman, Laura Behnke, and Jeff Smith, holds a decisive advantage among DMA Households and Adults 25-54 on Sunday nights. "Eyewitness News" was the first local 11pm newscast to expand to a full hour on the weekends and consistently performs well in that extra time.

ABC network programs rule the day, as "The View" wins its time period in DMA Households and key demos. "The Chew" wins its time period at 1pm in Households and Women 25-54. Longtime veteran "General Hospital" dominates its time period in DMA Households, Women 25-54 and Women 18-49. In the weeknight evenings, ABC's "World News with Diane Sawyer" continues to lead its network news competitors in both DMA Households and Adults 25-54.

WABC-TV's syndicated programs "Millionaire," "Jeopardy," and "Wheel of Fortune" continue to win their respective time periods in Households and most key demographics, including Adults and Women 25-54.

In Prime, ABC-TV's "Scandal" has risen to the top of the ratings charts in key demos and ranks #1 in key Women 25-54. Along with recent younger-skewing and male-skewing entry "Marvel's Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.", it joins veteran hit "Modern Family" and mainstays "Once Upon A Time," "Dancing with the Stars," "Revenge," Grey's Anatomy," and "Castle" to form a solid core of strong Prime programs.

ABC's "Jimmy Kimmel Live" is #1 in DMA Household rating and its delivery among Adults 25-54 easily tops his competitors on WCBS-TV & WNBC-TV. The long-running staple "Nightline" airs from 1235-1am and ranks #1 in DMA Households and ties for #1 among Adults 25-54 in the time period.

In addition to the recently introduced WATCH ABC, the station's other growing mobile apps are also proving extremely popular in the market. Channel 7's Eyewitness News apps for iPhone and Android generate millions of monthly impressions, while WABC-TV's Alarm Apps are also doing extremely well and generate about 2.5 million page views a month. Channel 7's Weather App also garners more than a million page impressions each month.

7online also continues to perform extremely well, with more than 10 million page views per month and increasing numbers of unique visitors. Between 7online and all of Channel 7's successful mobile apps, WABC-TV routinely sees more than 25 million monthly page views across all its platforms. WABC-TV also continues to maintain a strong presence among social media with more than 440,000 Facebook Likes and 259,000 Twitter followers.
