Feds urge Metro-North to clean up act

December 4, 2013

Federal authorities issuing an ultimatum to the nation's largest transportation agency clean up your act or else. The warning comes after last Sunday's deadly derailment of a Metro North Hudson Line train – a derailment that killed 4 people and injured scores of others.

Service is now partly restored on the line, but the commute is still troublesome. And the questions surround the MTA's safety –several derailments this year – is troublesome as well. We'll have the latest, at 11.

Also at 11, the 9-1-1 tapes from the Sandy Hook Elementary School gun massacre are out, and we'll have the highlights about the heroism shown that day last December. We have decided not to air the tapes.

We'll also have any breaking news of the night, plus Meteorologist Lee Goldberg's AccuWeather forecast, and Rob Powers with the night's sports. I hope you can join Sade Baderinwa and me, tonight at 11.
