NYC shuts down Dunkin Donuts after viral rat video

MIDTOWN

Officials from the Department of Health conducted an inspection of the Dunkin' Donuts after learning of the video. They shut down the store "because of conditions that could not be corrected at the time of the inspection, including a severe rodent infestation that requires professional pest control services."

In the video, the sugar-loving critter is seen gliding through the glazed and cruising through the croissants, all of it caught on cell phone video and posted on YouTube.

There are even pictures of the rats high up on the windows inside the store.

The health department also cited the store for other critical violations, including inadequate hand washing facilities and food not being protected from contamination.

Some customers say they will not be coming back here anytime soon.
