Suspect wanted for fatal shooting of man in Brooklyn
Police have released new images of the suspect wanted in connection to the fatal shooting of a 45-year-old man in Bedford-Stuyvesant.

BEDFORD-STUYVESANT, Brooklyn (WABC) -- Police are searching for the suspect who shot and killed a man trying to retrieve his phone from a store in Brooklyn.

Authorities say Steven Battle, 45, was trying to get his phone from a coffee shop when he was fatally shot outside and collapsed in the middle of the street. The business was open at the time of the shooting because it doubles as a nightclub, officials say.

First responders transported the victim to a nearby hospital, where he was pronounced dead.

According to the NYPD, the suspect managed to flee the scene in a black Cadillac SUV.

The suspect is described as a man with a dark complexion, slim build, braids and facial hair. He was last seen wearing a dark blue hooded sweatshirt, light-colored grey jeans and black and white sneakers.

Anyone with information about the shooting is asked to call the NYPD's Crime Stoppers Hotline at 1-800-577-TIPS (8477).
