1 dead, 3 hurt when car collides with SUV in Cambria Heights, Queens

CAMBRIA HEIGHTS (WABC) -- One person was killed and three others injured in a collision in Queens Sunday night.

It happened just after 6 p.m. at 119th Avenue and 231st St. in Cambria Heights.

Police say a 19-year old boy was driving the car with his parents when he apparently went through a stop sign, and collided with an SUV.

The teen's father, 50-year old Garth Jackson, was killed in the crash.

The 19-year old was driving with a permit.

Both drivers and a passenger were taken to the hospital.
