Bicyclist struck and killed by van in the Melrose section of the Bronx

MELROSE (WABC) -- A bicyclist struck by a van in the Bronx has died of his injuries.

Police say a van traveling southbound hit the 43-year old man at the intersection of East 158th Street and the Grand Concourse in Melrose Sunday.

The victim was taken to Lincoln Hospital but did not survive. His identity has not yet been released.

The 24-year old van driver remained at the scene and was questioned by police.

No arrests have been made.
