BLOOMFIELD, Staten Island (WABC) -- Amazon is set to open a distribution center on Staten Island that will employ 2,250 people.
Governor Andrew Cuomo announced Wednesday that the $100 million fulfillment center will open in the Global Logistics Park on the West Shore of Staten Island.
The facility will be Amazon's first fulfillment center in New York. Until now, Amazon has served the New York area from facilities in New Jersey and Pennsylvania.
