Funeral today for husband, wife killed in fire in Arden Heights on Staten Island

STATEN ISLAND, N.Y. (WABC) -- There were two funerals Wednesday morning for the Staten Island couple who were trapped together in a deadly house fire.

The two died after a late-night fire last week. Francis Quinones, 63, was found unconscious inside along with her husband Julio, 66. She was pronounced dead the same day. Julio was pronounced dead Thursday. He had been in critical condition and on a ventilator since the fire.

On Tuesday, police responded to their home in the 200 block of Annandale Road in the Arden Heights. They were taken to Staten Island University South Hospital in critical condition where Francis died.

The fire is believed to be electrical and accidental. It appears to have started in the first floor entryway.
