6 charged in Harrison home invasion

HARRISON Police Chief David Hall says the six men followed the couple to their Harrison home on Sept. 3 and three forced their way into the house and beat the couple.

The 75-year-old man suffered a broken arm and his wife had serious head injuries.

Hall says the contractor, Gary Pilavdjian (pill-AH'-vee-un) of New Rochelle, had done some minor work at the couples' house and "set this whole thing up."

All six men were charged with burglary; no lawyer was listed for Pilavdjian at Town Court.

Police are investigating whether the men might have carried out other similar attacks.
