The 3-foot long American Alligator was found along the /*Long Island Expressway*/ about 1 1/2 miles east of exit 68 on the eastbound side Monday morning.
Two /*Suffolk County*/ sheriff's deputies saw the creature and called the /*SPCA*/.
They're offering a $1,000 reward for information leading to the arrest of whoever abandoned the gator.
