If you think it's taking longer to get where you are going, you're right.
Latest figures out today by the /*MTA*/ show several lines are running much slower.
"Trains are not as frequent and it's taking a lot longer and they're a lot more crowded," said /*Andrew Gunn*/.
The problems are really bad on the numbered lines, like the 4 and 5 express trains which travel along the east side.
Overall in March of 2010, 91.3 percent of the trains were on time, that number dropped in March 2011 to 86.4 percent. On the IRT or numbered lines, performance is even worse with 81.4 percent being on time in March 2011 compared to 90.5 percent in 2010.
The 2 and 3 lines saw the most dramatic drop. Last year on time performance numbers were in the high 80's percentage wise, but this year it's dipped to the low 70's.
