Ariel Castro appears in court for first time

May 9, 2013

The specifics and details of this decade of horror are slowly coming out. It's just disgusting, including his interest in the welfare of how the mother of one of the victims was doing. She was a friend of his, and he'd occasionally inquire as to her mental health.

Can you imagine?

And now he claims, while he's reportedly on suicide watch, that he's a sex addict. Message to Mr. Castro: Rape isn't sex. There are plenty of other words to describe his condition and many are contained in the charges. We'll have the latest from the decade of terror in Cleveland, tonight at 11.

Also at 11, they're calling it the biggest ATM heist ever. The haul - $45 million, in just a couple of hours. Like Ocean's Eleven, only this time it was a well-planned hacker attack, with the white-collar crooks stealing data from banks – data encoded on plastic cards that allowed people in two dozen countries to withdraw, quickly, as much money as they wanted, without limits.

It will end up on one of those TV crime shows, or a movie. I'm just sayin'. It's based here in New York, which is one reason we're covering it tonight at 11.

We'll also have any breaking news of the night, plus Meteorologist Lee Goldberg's AccuWeather forecast, and Rob Powers with the night's sports. I hope you can join Sade Baderinwa and me, tonight at 11.
