ASTORIA (WABC) -- Police are searching for a killer after a deadly shooting Sunday at the Astoria Houses in Queens.

42-year-old Sean Overton was shot twice - one bullet hit his neck, and the other hit his torso. He was pronounced dead at the hospital.

The fatal shooting happened around 5:00 p.m. It is not clear how many gunmen were involved, nor how many total shots were fired.

Nearby, a second story window was blown out by a bullet. Further away, a $.99 store across the street from the Astoria Houses was also hit by a bullet.

There was crime scene tape around those other locations, as detectives try to determine if all the wild shots are related to the killing.

Police have not yet released a motive for the deadly shooting.

Detectives are still working on establishing exactly what happened.
