Bear caught on camera playing around California pool

YUCAIPA, Calif. -- A backyard camera caught a bear dipping its paws in a Yucaipa pool as it searched for ways to beat the heat.

Homeowner Brent Portell captured it all and sent the video to Eyewitness News.

At first, the beat sat around on the pool's water slide. The bear then hopped over to the edge of the pool and stuck its snout in the water, taking a drink.

But the bear wasn't done and appeared to have gotten hungry. It went after one of the bird feeders hanging in a nearby tree, tugging it until it came down to get some food.

The bear eventually traipsed away without taking a dip in the cool water.
