Driver charged in fatal Bedford wrong-way crash

BEDFORD (WABC) -- New York State Police have charged a man from Scarsdale in connection with a deadly crash in Westchester County.

Authorities say 23-year-old Zachary Tokson was going the wrong way when his car hit another car on i-684 in Bedford at about 5:45 Sunday morning.

The driver of the other car, 64-year-old ELena Lopez of Mount Kisco, was pronounced dead at the scene.

Tokson and his passenger were treated for their injuries. He is charged with criminally negligent homicide.

Police were still investigating whether alcohol played a part in the accident.
