Bicyclist dies after colliding with truck in Brooklyn

FLATBUSH, BROOKLYN (WABC) -- A 57-year-old bicyclist was killed after he was struck by a box truck in Brooklyn Monday morning.

The bicyclist and the truck were both headed eastbound on Church Avenue when they collided.

The bicyclist may have swerved, hit the side of the truck, lost his balance and was run over by the truck's rear tires.

He was pronounced dead at Kings County Hospital.

The truck driver remained at the scene, and no charges are expected.
