Bicyclist critically hurt in hit-and-run collision in the Bronx

MOTT HAVEN, The Bronx (WABC) -- A bicyclist is in critical condition after he was involved in a hit-and-run accident in the Bronx.

The bicyclist and a car and later an SUV collided at Brook Avenue and East 142nd Street about 9:30 p.m. Saturday.

Officials say the driver of the SUV left the scene.

The bicyclist is in the hospital being treated for severe head injuries. Officials say he was not wearing a helmet.
