Man shot in the head while driving in West Farms section of the Bronx

NEW YORK (WABC) -- A man is hospitalized after police say he was shot while driving in the Bronx Sunday morning.

According to investigators, the shooting took place at about 3:30 a.m. at Daly Avenue and East 180th Street in the West Farms section.

The 27-year old victim was shot in the head while driving a green convertible southbound on Daly Avenue.

The vehicle crashed into a construction barrier at East 180th Street.

The driver was taken to St Barnabas Hospital in grave condition.
