2 brothers stabbed, 1 fatally while coming home from work
Lucy Yang has the story from Bed-Stuy.

BEDFORD-STUYVESANT (WABC) -- Five men are facing charges in connection with a the stabbing death of a young cook who was attacked along with his brother over the weekend in Brooklyn.



The brothers were assaulted around 2 a.m. Sunday at Myrtle and Tompkins avenues in the Bedford-Stuyvesant section.



The pair had missed their bus and were walking home together from work. In fact, they were on the phone with their older sister, Michelle, telling her they would be home in just a few minutes, when the violence struck.



Twenty-three-year-old Juan Carlos Luna-Juarez, who celebrated his birthday less than a month ago, died of his wounds.



His brother Angel, 24, was stabbed in the shoulder.



Family members can't believe what's happened.



"My brother barely had a year in this country, and they took him away from me," Michelle said through a translator.



Eyewitness News is told the victim came from Mexico last July. He was the youngest of the three siblings who shared an apartment together and tried to make better lives for themselves.



All five suspects have been charged with murder, attempted murder, robbery and weapons possession.
