Long Island vandal keys more than 30 vehicles in Massapequa

MASSAPEQUA (WABC) -- It was a rude awakening for some Long Island residents, after someone keyed more than 30 vehicles.

The vandal struck early Wednesday morning on Cameo Drive in Massapequa.

The letters X and O were carved into many cars parked in driveways, some left with bumper to bumper damage.

"Four cars in my driveway, all up the entire block, everybody's cars. Not one car was missed," said one of the victims, Jessica Denicola. "My dad had an X dug in, and it was deep."

The damage is costing people anywhere from $200 to $2,000 to fix.
