NEW YORK (WABC) -- There's new video of a kindhearted NYPD officer who came to the rescue of a cat, that narrowly survived a close call.
Cell phone video shows the officer looking under an SUV stopped in traffic in Queens.
The officer tells the driver to move forward slowly.
Seconds later, you see an orange tabby lying on the road, frozen in fear, but apparently unharmed.
The officer picked the cat up and walked it to safety.
