Take a holiday movie road trip with Chevy Chase as he watches his classic Christmas Vacation for the first time in over 10 years.
Chase, who played the hapless but well-meaning patriarch Clark Griswold in the iconic Vacation movies, sat down with his real-life wife Jayni and daughter Caley to watch the funny Christmas flick at his Los Angeles home. The actor's family laughed and smiled at Clark's shenanigans onscreen as Chase warmly reminisced about being a part of the film.
"It's also fun to see how much we need more of these Vacation movies, because somehow they're fun and pleasant," Chase said.
Released in 1989, Christmas Vacation was the third installment in the National Lampoon's Vacation film series, which helped cement Chase as one of Hollywood's leading comedic actors in the 1980s. The actor recently reprised his role in the 2015 reboot/sequel Vacation, which starred Ed Helms as a grown-up version of Clark's son Rusty Griswold taking his own family on a comedic road trip adventure.
