Survey shows millions think chocolate milk comes from brown cows
A new survey has found that 7% of Americans believe that chocolate milk comes from brown cows.

PHILADELPHIA -- From chocolate syrup to Nestle powder to Ovaltine, there are plenty of ways to make chocolate milk.

But according to an unbelievable number of Americans, chocolate milk has nothing to do with those ingredients.

A survey put together by the Innovation Center for US Dairy found that 7 percent of adults believe chocolate milk comes from brown cows!

The Washington Post crunched the numbers and found that works out to about 16.4 million people who are agriculturally illiterate.

Perhaps worse? The survey found 48 percent of those asked, admitted they weren't totally sure where chocolate milk came from.
