History made at FDNY with 2 women promoted to leadership positions

NEW YORK (WABC) -- It was a historic day for the FDNY, as two women were promoted to leadership positions for the first time.

Laura Kavanagh was named the new first deputy commissioner and Elizabeth Cascio was promoted to chief of staff.
