FDNY rescues dog from burning apartment building in Hamilton Heights
The FDNY posted the happy reunion on Twitter.

HAMILTON HEIGHTS, Manhattan (WABC) -- There was at least one bit of good news to emerge from the huge building fire in Hamilton Heights on Friday.

FDNY members from Ladder 47 managed to rescue a woman's beloved dog.

The FDNY posted the happy reunion on their Twitter page.

By all accounts, the dog seemed to be doing well.

The woman cried tears of joy as she happily hugged her furry companion and proud firefighters looked on.
