Woman injured after being rescued from Elizabeth, New Jersey fire

ELIZABETH, New Jersey (WABC) -- One person was injured in a fire in a multi-family home in Elizabeth, New Jersey, Wednesday afternoon.

The fire started at 537 Jersey Avenue just before 3 p.m.

One woman was rescued from the attic of the home and taken to St. Barnabas for treatment for smoke inhalation.

One firefighter was also taken to the hospital after complaining of dizziness.

The cause of the fire is under investigation.
