Firefighter falls off roof while battling Newark fire

NEWARK, New Jersey (WABC) -- One firefighter was injured battling a fire in Newark, New Jersey.

The fire broke out in the three story building on Pacific Street just before 6:40 a.m. Friday.

The firefighter fell off the roof and broke his foot. He was taken to the hospital where he is expected to survive.

The cause of the fire is under investigation.
