Sunflower kernels recalled over possible listeria contamination

The company SunOpta is recalling some of its sunflower kernels over possible listeria contamination.

It affects products such as Planters sunflower kernels and Dakota's Best! Biggy'z roasted and salted kernels.

No one has reported being sick from the sunflower seeds so far.

Listeria can cause a serious infection to the stomach and intestines.

Symptoms include high fever, abdominal pain and nausea. It's particularly dangerous for pregnant women and children.
