Janitor charged with raping woman at Brooklyn school

FORT GREENE (WABC) -- A New York City school janitor is charged with rape after police say he attacked a woman inside a school in Brooklyn.

Police say 51-year old Hernan Zapata raped a woman while he was on-duty at a middle school in Fort Greene.

The woman was not a student, and did not work at the school, police say.

Investigators say Zapata held her against her will in an office during the attack at about 3:45 p.m. Saturday.

He is charged with rape, criminal sexual act, sex abuse, sexual misconduct, unlawful imprisonment, and assault.
