FRANKLIN TOWNSHIP (WABC) -- A homeowner has been reunited with her dog after it was snatched during a home burglary in central New Jersey Tuesday.

The dog was not harmed.

Two people are being questioned in the incident.

Police say the victim returned to her Hunt Road home in Franklin Township to find it had been broken into.

Jewelry, a laptop and a tablet worth about $12,000 were missing, as was her black schnauzer-poodle mix named Pepper. The dog has white markings over her eyes, chin and paws.

Investigators believe the suspect or suspects entered through an unsecured back door to the home. There is currently an active investigation being conducted.
