FORT LEE (WABC) -- Police have found the man who they say crashed a Lamborghini and left it burning near the George Washington Bridge in New Jersey.

33-year-old Deankarte Ditchfield-Agboh, of Palisades Park, was charged with abandonment of a vehicle and leaving the scene of a motor vehicle accident, Port Authority police said.

The vehicle has been identified as a black 2008 Lamborghini "Murcielago," which is a model made only between 2001 and 2010. It is the successor to the "Diablo" model.

Investigators said that Ditchfield-Agboh owns the Lamborghini that was found on fire and unoccupied in the westbound lanes near the bridge toll plaza in Fort Lee early Monday.

The vehicle showed signs of a crash and sustained extensive fire damage.

Lamborghini Diablos were made by the Italian sports car company from 1990 to 2001. They are typically valued at $150,000 to $200,000.
