GlamSquad app brings a stylist to your door

NEW YORK (WABC) -- Just like you get food delivered right to your door, you can also order a stylist who comes equipped with everything you need for a blowout.

A new app called GlamSquad makes it happen. Giovanni Vaccaro is the style director with salon experience. Clients choose a look from the app and sit back in the comfort of their home.

Abbe Borok doesn't have to travel to the salon or book an appointment well in advance, stylists can be booked with as little as one hour advance notice and they're all trained in the GlamSquad way.

"We ensure that our stylists have the talent to make the blowout look beautiful and last," Vaccaro said.

The cost is $50 plus a 20% tip and then you are all done.

Through the app so there's no exchange of cash, the idea was Victoria Eisner's who struggles with her own hair.

"There's nothing like rolling out of the shower sitting down and have someone do your hair. It feels like you're a star," Eisner said.

GlamSquad allows you to do that affordably.

"We have executives booking appointments at 6:30 a.m., moms during the day, and people who go out at night and have different things that they do, to weddings on the weekends. So we're busy all week," said Jason Perri, of GlamSquad.

"You can have any kind of hair, as long as you have wet hair and an electrical outlet we are all set," Eisner said.

You need just about 45 minutes.

"You want to look polished for work or a business trip or more glam for going out, great ways to use this service,"

That's why Abbe's become a fan of GlamSquad.

The app is free and they are launching their makeup services next month.
