Police release picture of car involved in hit-and-run of 8-year-old girl in Brooklyn

BROOKLYN (WABC) -- The NYPD released a surveillance image Monday of a car that struck an 8-year-old girl in Brooklyn.

The car is described as a red 1998-to-2002 four-door Honda Accord with a gold-style New York State license plate.

The driver struck the girl on Saturday in Marine Park and then kept going.

The victim suffered multiple head injuries and broken bones, but is expected to survive.
