Driver flees accident in Hoboken; threatens to jump off cliff

HOBOKEN (WABC) -- Authorities say a driver fled the scene of a crash in Hoboken and threatened to jump from a cliff before being talked down Monday morning.

Police say the man was involved in a two-car accident, and then ran up the cliff.

Hudson County police were on the scene, negotiating with the man, who was eventually removed from the scene.

Jersey City, Union City and Hoboken police were on standby.
