People run for sofa at new Ikea store in Missouri

ST. LOUIS, Mo. (WABC) -- The chance to get free furniture at a new Ikea store sparked a frenzy -- and it was all caught on camera.

On Monday, customers sprinted across the parking lot of the new Ikea in Saint Louis, Mo.

The store doesn't open until Tuesday, but the first 41 customers were promised a free sofa. Some even camped out a few nights to get one.

Why 41? This is Ikea's 41st store in the United States.
