JAMAICA, New York (WABC) -- Going to LaGuardia airport Wednesday? Well, it's not going to be pretty.
During the nor'easter Tuesday, 99 percent of LaGuardia's 1,150 flights were canceled, leaving many flights on Wednesday fully booked. That means the airport is expecting significant traffic Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday.
Travelers were urged to leave plenty of time to get to the airport, to check with airlines before heading to the airport, and those without confirmed reservations reservations for a flight, were told to stay home.
To make matters more complicated, the airport is under construction for a modernization project.
Use mass transit, officials advised passengers heading to and from LaGuardia, for the rest of the week. The Q70 LaGuardia bus is free Wednesday through Friday.
