D23 Recap: Harrison Ford, Jamie Lee Curtis, Kelly Ripa honored as Disney legends

Earlier this year, Disney announced a collaboration with Epic Games to create a new universe.

"Imagine a place where your favorite Disney characters merge in one connected universe," said Disney Experiences Chairman Josh D'Amaro. "It's the full power of Disney storytelling to this dynamic new environment."

Now, we know that Disney Animation characters are coming to this new epic games universe.

The first Pixar characters, from "The Incredibles," come to Fortnite this fall.

Lucasfilm characters like Baby Yoda will be available to shop Aug. 12.

The next season of Marvel on Fortnite is Aug. 16.

Kevin Feige, the president of Marvel Studios, announced that iconic villain Doctor Doom is coming to the game.

From rides to cruises, Disney Experiences Chairman Josh D'Amaro announced that the Disney Treasure that launches in December will feature a stage production of "Moana."

D'Amaro then noted that while details were revealed last week about the Disney Destiny, some things were saved for this very moment: the new ship will have "Hercules" as its signature product, launching in 2026.

With the help of R&B group All-4-One, D'Amaro then announced they're adding four more cruise ships to the DCL fleet. There will be a total of 13 ships when they're all in service.

Two new "Cars" attractions are coming to Frontierland in the Magic Kingdom.

The first is a race rally across the frontier.

Disney Experiences Chairman Josh D'Amaro says the second is "something for our smallest racers."

Construction begins next year.

Disney royalty is in the building! Billy Crystal, the voice of Mike Wazowski from "Monsters Inc.," graced the D23 stage during the Disney Experiences Showcase.

"I've got some news, Josh, that's bigger than a shaggy blue monster that I'm friends with," he said

The big announcement is Monsters Inc. Land is coming to Disney's Hollywood Studios.

Crystal then sang, "If I Didn't Have You," and received a standing ovation.

Disney Experiences Chairman Josh D'Amaro says a new ride in the land will let humans tour Monstropolis' laugh factory. It will be the first suspended coaster ever in a Disney park. Claws will grab laugh factory doors and hoist them in the air.

Construction begins next year.
