NEW YORK (WABC) -- Election Day is about a month away and the candidates are working hard to get their message out to voters as the clock ticks closer to November 4.
In New York City, all eyes are on the race for mayor as frontrunner and Democratic nominee Zohran Mamdani, former Gov. Andrew Cuomo and Republican candidate Curtis Sliwa are making campaign appearances and headlines regularly.
It comes after Eric Adams announced on Sunday that he was suspending his campaign for reelection.
Meanwhile, the race for the governor of New Jersey is heating up after a recent poll put Mikie Sherrill and Jack Ciattarelli in a tie.

Days after announcing his intention to stay in the race for New York City mayor as an independent candidate, former Gov. Andrew Cuomo spoke one-on-one with Eyewitness News reporter N.J. Burkett.
The former governor says he grossly underestimated Mamdani right up until election night, and explained his reaction.
