Assisted living employee accused of taking resident's money on Long Island

EAST MEADOW, N.Y. (WABC) -- Police arrested a woman, accusing her of taking money from an assisted living resident.

According to the Nassau County Police Department, on Monday Adassa Clark, 61 of Hempstead, a med-tech at Bristol Assisted Living in East Meadow entered a 90-year-old woman's room to administer medicine. While there, police said she took cash from the victim's pocketbook.

Clark was arrested Monday.

Detectives ask anyone with information on the case to call 1-800-244-TIPS.

Clark is charged with endangering an incompetent person and petit larceny. She will be arraigned Tuesday in Hempstead.
