Pedestrian killed in Lynbrook on Long Island

LYNBROOK, N.Y. (WABC) -- A pedestrian was struck and killed on Long Island Thursday night.

On Thursday in Lynbrook, a man was crossing to the south side of Merrick Road in the 100 block when he was hit by a vehicle.

The vehicle was traveling eastbound and continued without stopping, according to the Nassau County Police Department.

The victim was pronounced dead at the scene. He has not been identified.
