Man charged with damaging car with machete inside Holland Tunnel

NEW YORK (WABC) -- A man from Brooklyn is charged with damaging a car inside the Holland Tunnel with a machete.

Police say 29-year-old Joel Estevez of Williamsburg got in a verbal dispute with another man as they were driving towards New Jersey.

Estevez leaned out his window and began slashing the man's car with a machete.

The car was damaged, but the driver was okay, and he got Estevez' license plate number.
