Woman claims mascara made her eyelashes fall out

WEST PALM BEACH (WABC) -- There is a new warning about a kind of mascara after a woman claimed it made her eyelashes fall out.

Covergirl's 'Bombshell' mascara claims it creates 10 times more noticeable lashes.

21-year-old Amy Schavolt bought her mascara in May, and used it a few times, but she got a real shock when she tried to remove it one day.

It takes 7 to 8 weeks for lashes to grow back.

Covergirl said in a statement that they are taking steps to make sure customers know to use an oil-based remover with long-lasting mascaras.

The company also said it is updating their packaging, and posted tutorials on their website.
