NEW HAVEN (WABC) -- It's last call for the bar cars that run on Metro-North Railroad.
The 7:07 p.m. train from Grand Central Terminal to New Haven will be the last train with the on-board service that started more than four decades ago.
There are four bar cars still operating.
Riders can still buy a drink at the platform carts, but those who favor a bar car have to hope the Connecticut Department of Transportation follows through on a plan to buy a new generation of the cars in about a year.
